Rylee: volleyball highlights

Rylee decided, after lots of soul-searching, to play volleyball this year instead of football. After training for football during the summer, she just decided that she wanted to try something else. I think that she really enjoyed the change, even after being pretty sad in the stands at the football games several times.

She worked hard at volleyball; within a few weeks she was playing on the Sophomore, JV and Varisty teams. By the end of the season, she was starting on the Varsity squad. And she's a firecracker on the court ... lots of talking and energy. She often kept the team in the game when they'd gotten tired of getting beat. We got beat quite a bit, but I think she still enjoyed playing.

Here's a highlight from her last home game:

The end-of-year volleyball banquet was on November 20th. Rylee worked hard and was able to letter in volleyball; only 9 girls in total were able to earn their letter. Pretty cool!

I'm SO SO SO SO happy that Ry is playing volleyball. She can't let those soft Poly hands go to waste. Man...that makes me want to play with her! If she kept working at it, she could get REALLY good. How exciting!
